About

Producing wine is about passion! There is no such thing as bottling a ‘juice’ which will then in the end be the magnificent ‘half-an-hour’ treat that you expect from a good glass of wine. It takes years to combine soil, grapes, craftmanship and love for wine to produce the finalised qualitative product.

Our experience was more on the consuming side when we started thinking to grow our own grapes and trying to make something useful out of it.

Rather, this was intended as a meaningful way to fill in the time once we would stop our day-to-day activities as entrepreneurs. But the blood creeps where it can’t go, and soon we had a plan to make this our next investment.

So, in 2018 we took the time to look around for a suitable piece of land in the south of Belgium and after a while ended up in the beautiful village of Wéris, where we bought about 5000 square meters of land that would act as a test field for our first grape growing activities. The soil investigations that were done, seemed to be very promising!

It is a multiple year plan as the grape vines first need to set in the soil and become stronger before produce is sufficient to start making and testing wines. As such we only expect a first real produce somewhere end of 2023.

The current varieties of grapes are: Chardonnay, Solaris and Pinot Noir.
